Event Operator

The Event Operator role blends customer service with mobile operations, requiring you to drive a truck to events, greet/serve customers with enthusiasm, take/accurately fill orders (shaved ice with syrups and concessions), handle POS/cash, maintain truck cleanliness (sanitation/stocking), and manage shift prep/closeout, all while being friendly, reliable, and adhering to food safety standards in a fun, fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders, suggest flavors, process payments (cash/card), and provide excellent service with speed.
Driving & Logistics: Safely drive the truck to various locations (festivals, schools, parties) and return to base.
Food Prep & Service: Prepare shaved ice, add syrups accurately, ensure proper texture, and restock supplies like cups, spoons, and syrups.
Operations: Handle POS (Square), manage cash drawer, complete shift checklists (prep/stock/clean), and track inventory.
Maintenance: Perform basic cleaning of the truck, ensuring high sanitation/health standards.
Compensation
Hourly: $15 an hour
Requirements & Skills
Age: Typically 18+ years old.
Driving: Valid license, good driving record, comfortable driving a larger vehicle.
Location: Tampa Bay including: Plant City, Brandon, Largo, and Tampa.
Physical: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, work outdoors.
Availability: Flexible, part-time (often includes weekends).
Attitude: Enthusiastic, positive, energetic, great with kids and adults.
Work Environment
Mobile, fun, fast-paced, community-focused, outdoor events.
